As a reflective teacher and writer, I have encountered days where I have felt as though I was writing upside down-- hence the name of my blog! I am currently journeying through the process of writing my first Chick-Lit novel. so I fully understand how exciting and daunting it can be for any writer to see a piece of writing through to its completion. As a result, I have found that many of my creative writing students are encountering the very same problems that I have experienced as I've worked on my novel and other narratives.
Therefore, I have shared with them many effective resources which I have either created or discovered that have directly come from my own needs as a writer. To my delight, I am watching my students become more confident creative writers as they embark on their own unique writing journeys!
So, this is the very reason I have started this blog. You, too, may be in need of some useful and effective ideas as either a teacher of writing or as a fellow writer-- or both!

I am so eager to share the tips and tricks I have learned through my own successes and failures as both a teacher and writing practitioner.
